“In consideration of all of the choices of music, this piece with its distinctly non secular content material could be interpreted as proselytizing,” Ledendecker wrote.

For the report, there haven’t been any experiences of youngsters spontaneously changing to the Christian religion on account of George Frideric Handel’s stunning music.

“This is the litmus take a look at I exploit: if I have been a Christian guardian strolling within the school, and I heard over the PA system throughout morning bulletins music with the phrases ‘Praise Allah. The school district advised “The Todd Starnes Show” that a trainer had a very good purpose for playing a 20 second excerpt from Handel’s Messiah.

“The passage was chosen to correspond with the school’s general music curriculum that, for that individual week, featured the musical works of George Handel,” the school spokesperson advised me.

Long story, brief – Handel isn’t going wherever.

“The school system strongly disagreed together with her place and, by our school board’s legal professional, we responded promptly to the author suggesting that she was in error,” the spokesperson advised me.

“The criticisms articulated by Ms. Ledendecker seem to have been primarily based upon inadequate info taken fully out of context, incorrect assumptions in regards to the school’s music curriculum and a elementary misunderstanding of the First Amendment’s relationship with traditionally sacred classical music compositions being taught in a public school music curriculum,” the spokesperson added.

Yeah, that’s in all probability going to jingle the atheists’ bells.

It’s about time a school district stood as much as these godless bullies and politely advised them to blow it out their piccolo.

As George Handel would say, “Hallelujah!”
