Police arrest two suspected IPOB members over the killing of four Hausas in Asaba

The Delta State Police Command stated it has arrested two suspected IPOB members for complicity in the homicide of four Hausas.

It recognized the two suspects as Abraham Ndudi 24 years from Kwale in Delta and Okereke Ifeanyi 21 years outdated from Ogbaru, Anambra State.

It will probably be recalled that Friday 15th three armed males in black outfits, suspected to be members of IPOB fired indiscriminately into Abraka market, Asaba, predominantly inhabited by non-indigenes of the state and in the course of killed four individuals, whereas injuring many.

A signed press assertion by Police picture maker, DSP Andrew Aniamaka, on Saturday, stated the police have been on the path of a 3rd suspect merely referred to as “Last Burial”.

Aniamaka stated the suspects have been arrested from their hiding place in the rafters of a serious resort in Abraka. The assertion named these killed as Usman Abdullahi ‘m’, aged 45yrs, Ali Sidi ‘m’, aged 70yrs, Ibrahim Zubairu’m’ aged 30yrs and Hauwa (surname unknown), aged 22yrs.

It stated 5 injured victims are at the moment recuperating at the Federal Medical Centre, Asaba The assertion urged the public not “to panic and even ponder any reprisal motion as the legislation will certainly take its course’.
