Police arraign two pastors for allegedly stealing two-year-old girl – Punch Newspapers

The Police in Lagos on Wednesday introduced two Pastors, Dorothy Ekutosi, 51, and Asekameh Victor, 27, who allegedly stole a 2-year-old girl in a market earlier than an Ikeja Chief Magistrates’ Court.

The accused, whose addresses weren’t offered, are standing trial a two-count of conspiracy and stealing.

The Prosecutor, Insp. Clifford Ogu, instructed the court docket that the accused individuals dedicated the offences on August 29 on the Abule Market space of Ajao Estate within the state.

He stated the accused conspired and stole the kid out there, with out the information of the mom, who was a dealer.

According to him, the offences contravened Sections 287 and 409 of the Criminal Law of Lagos State, 2015.

The News Agency of Nigeria reviews that Section 287 prescribes a three-year jail time period for stealing.

The Chief Magistrate, Mrs Taiwo Akanni, admitted the accused to bail within the sum of N100, 000 every, with two sureties in like sum.

Akanni stated the sureties, who ought to be relations of the accused, also needs to present proof of three years’ tax cost to the Lagos State Government.

She adjourned the case till Sept. 20, for a point out.
