Fake herbalist and his gang dupe man of N25 million.. The man was searching for cure for his headache

A businessman, Oladimeji Isiaka, has gone bankrupt after shedding about N25m to suspected fraudsters who defrauded him below the pretext of curing his headache, Punch Nigeria experiences.

Isiaka, who lived within the Sango Ota space of Ogun State, bought his home and 5 vehicles to boost the cash. However, after realising that he had been defrauded, he reportedly petitioned the Zone 2 Police Command, Onikan, Lagos State.

Investigations by operatives of the command led to the arrest of 5 members of the syndicate at their base in Ibadan, Oyo State. They are Alasela Ottun; Yetunde Mustapha, aka Iya Aje Funfun; Ibrahim Jimoh, aka Olobe Aye; Akeem Alabi and Oyegbile Lateef.

A police supply mentioned Isiaka was an in-law of Ottun and had sought his counsel someday in October 2016 when he had the headache, which defied drugs.

Ottun, from Iwo, Osun State, after defrauding Isiaka of just a few tens of millions of naira, handed him to Mustapha, who pretended to be a white witch with solutions to all his issues.

Mustapha, 32, was mentioned to have colluded along with her boyfriend, Jimoh, who organized a scheme by way of which tens of millions of naira have been collected from the sufferer. Mustapaha mentioned she pretended to be a white witch every time she spoke with Isiaka, including that she wore white costume at Ottun’s shrine.

The chief herbalist, Alabi, 39, mentioned: “It is regardless of the folks search that we use to defraud them. Some discuss enterprise growth, some about earning profits or transferring to the next degree in life. We make some pretend concoctions and accumulate their cash.”

Lateef defined that Isiaka had been cured of the headache, however he craved wealth, including that it was his greed that the gang exploited. He defined that Isiaka was proven a sack stuffed with pretend dollars, including that he was requested to deliver N8m for the preparation of rituals that might allow him to spend the cash.

He mentioned, “Whoever is wanting for low-cost issues will run into heavy losses. He thought we cured him of his headache, not figuring out it was God. We simply took benefit of that to defraud him.”
