4 American tourists attacked with acid in Marseille’s train station, prosecutor says

Four American ladies had been attacked with acid in Marseille’s predominant train station in France on Sunday, town’s prosecutor’s workplace stated. A girl was arrested.

The 4 American ladies, stated to be in their 20s, had been in the Gare de Marseille-Saint-Charles train station when the acid assault occurred, a spokeswoman for the prosecutor’s workplace instructed The Associated Press on situation of anonymity. Two of the ladies had the corrosive liquid sprayed in their face, leaving one with a doable eye damage.

The tourists had been hospitalized after the assault. Two of the ladies had been handled for shock.

The incident was not terror-related, French officers confirmed to Fox News. 

No different info on the place the U.S. tourists had been from was launched.

Marseille is a port metropolis in southern France that’s nearer to Barcelona than Paris. The metropolis is simply over three hours away from Paris by train. 

French police stated they thwarted an imminent “terror assault” in April. Two suspected radicals had been arrested on suspicion of getting ready to “perform an imminent, violent motion” on French territory.
